Our Mission

We are a community focused group dedicated to providing support and resources to current and prospective Foster and Adoptive families in the North Texas Area.

Our Vision

Our vision is to become a centralized hub and resource center for Foster and Adoptive families in Cooke County as well as to recruit and support new foster parents in the North Texas area. An example of resources provided are clothing, hygiene and other material items, list of approved local contacts for maintaining licensing requirements as well as monthly support groups.

Our Story

How We Got Started

CTFOF was founded in January 2019 with the original intention to start a support group for local foster families. The first foster support group started with only 6 foster families in the Cooke County area. After that meeting and with lots of prayer God quickly made it clear that there was more to be done in the community with fostering!

Within a few months we started working on hosting Foster Information Meetings to bring community awareness around fostering and to assist families that were interested in fostering. From there we quickly grew to 15 families in our support group list by the beginning of 2020!

 Where We Are Now

We still host monthly foster support groups and Foster Information Meetings. CTFOF has also partnered with Temple Baptist and Hillcrest Church to open Rainbow Rooms to provide items to current and prospective foster families in need.

Our 2020 goal is to focus heavily on community outreach and education on foster care as well as getting more agency resources to the area. Our vision is to eventually open a foster closet in the Cooke County area as well.
